Unnamed Tropical Storm (2006) Archive

This is the Hurricane Warning archive
of the Unnamed Tropical Storm.
The best data available was used
to create this archive, in order to
make it as educational as possible.

Meteorological Analysis

The unnamed tropical cyclone formed from a cold front which stalled off the
U.S. East Coast on the 13th of July. An extra-tropical low formed along this
front on the 16th, over the Gulf Stream. The front then decayed, and the low
became its own entity. The warm waters of the Gulf Stream then induced
convection to flare over the low and the low became a tropical depression.
The depression reached tropical storm status very soon after that, and
attained max wind speeds of 50 mph. The tropical storm then left the warm
waters of the Gulf Stream and rapidly lost convection. The tropical storm
decayed into a remnant low by the 18th of July, and moved over the
Canadian Maritimes.
